AXIOM Fine Art Consulting is the next phase in my 36-year art career. My love and passion revolves around fine art and the patronage of new talent. After settling in Winter Park in 1979, this became my home. Fortuitously, a longtime friend and customer had this amazing corporate office and gallery space that was a perfect fit with AXIOM’s vision and goals. In regard to introducing AXIOM now, I had achieved everything I set out to in the commercial arena, so it was time for a new adventure.
What do you hope to achieve by launching AXIOM?
AXIOM’s goal is to bring a fresh life and style to collecting art. We bring a very hands-on approach to the collector, whether they’re ‘Blue Chip’ buyers or discovering art for the first time. We want art to be accessible to all regardless of budget or art education. Art should be approachable and experienced by everyone.
You mention making fine art accessible. Is this an oxymoron?
No, this is not an oxymoron. Art is a universal language and incredibly personal and subjective. Every piece of art has an owner. Our goal is to work with collectors at every level to best fit their goals, factoring in budget, lifestyle and long-term intentions. Everyone should understand and own artwork, it completes an environment on an intimate level.
How do you describe your relationship with art?
Art for me has been a longtime love affair. The art business has afforded me a lasting career, while providing an outlet for creativity that most are not fortunate to have experienced. Art has led me to experience extraordinary opportunities in travel, education and client interactions that are unprecedented. I am grateful and truly excited about AXIOM Fine Art Consulting. This is an exhilarating time for myself and the AXIOM team.
