Melanie Werner

A native of Pennsylvania with a decade-long stint in Paris, Melanie Werner, has specialized in fine art as a gallery director and curator for private clients, corporate collections and has also assisted trade clients on design projects for 17 years. With her broad knowledge in both traditional and contemporary art, she held a rare (and coveted) position as the curator for a multi-million dollar privately held family art and sculpture collection showcased at a luxury hotel resort in Pennsylvania. In addition to managing the fine art assets of the family’s collection, she also directed the properties two art galleries. Always maintaining alignment with art market tastes and trends, Werner has mounted over 40 contemporary art exhibits and launched a small art fair; “VELOCITY: The pace of art.”
A graduate of Westminster College, (New Wilmington, PA) she holds a BA in Communications. She furthered her studies in fine art history at a division of the American University of Paris.

Melanie has been a frequently invited lecturer on fine art collecting for the OSHER Lifelong Learning Center at Carnegie Mellon University.
